ok, good

you will next need to setup the solar settings under control panel, solar setup
set there the max solar for lat/long…set the lat/long, and set to use that
also turn the switch on there…
and in the 1 wire solar section, set the max mv to say 250
and tick to use that

Thanks Windy.

Have set up Lat/Long, OK.
I’m lost as th wher the 1 wire Solar section to set up max is.

Please can yon advise.

Now have to hit the sack will have a look at posts before I leave

Hi All
Back Again.
I think there may be progress, but may need tweaking.

One small problem I created when redesigning my layout, is the wind direction disc grew rather than shrank when I tried to make it smaller.
Can it be shrunk?

Wood Ant

Main screen

right mouse click on that wind direction dial to select to make smaller

in the solar setup, see the 1 wire/labjack tab

Hi Windy,

Do I need to change this setting?

Also its just got bigger ans would not shrink ?

Regards Wood Ant

try restarting WD before it explodes!

I have a number of times but will not reduce in size.
And it exploded.
Is there a minimum size?

Have also bee look through posts on hints on the solar setup

Wood Ant, there are settings in the registry for that blue circle, i will try and find the specific item again and post how to fix it.

Graeme

OK - I have found it...

Shut WD down. You may have to use Exit - Save anyway to save some changes you have made already.

Run - Regedit

HKEY_CURRENT-USER
wdisplayftp.ini
…Main screen custom
…abgeardial x … 76
…abgeardial xx … 328
…abgeardial y … 76
…abgeardial yy … 328

Then close regedit and restart WD.

Now, the 76 and 76 lines are the starting point of the top left corner i think, Windy indicates they are the size of it and the 328 are the far corner of a square surrounding the circle. try working with those anyway - i may be wrong but that’s what you have to work with to fix it.

Remember - these changes don’t take effect until WD starts again. patience!

Good luck…

Graeme

If it is the right size, then just use Edit Main Screen and the SHIFT key to move it to where it should be rather than trying with the numbers.

Cheers

in the registry:
wdisplayftp.ini (search for that with regedit.exe)
[main screen custom]
abgeardial x=
abgeardial y=
make those smaller (or delete altogether)
and then restart wd

:laughing6:
[wipes coffee spray off the screen]

Thanks Windy it’s asI want it.

I have the same problem as Woodant, I am running XP and the drivers used in WD are
IB10E32.dll
IB90USB.dll
IB97E32.dll
IB97U32.dll
IBFs32.dll

I downloaded 32 bit drivers version 4.01 from http://www.maxim-ic.com/products/ibutton/software/tmex/index.cfm

OneWireViewer finds the adapter and solar sensor but not WD, bit confused on which drivers to use.

Thanks for help
Tony

delete those files from where you have WD installed,so that the ones installed to windows32 folder are used instead
then restart wd

Hi guys,
I have the same problem as Woodant and tonyva: OneWireViewer finds the adapter and solar sensor but not WD
Well, i have not tried to delete those drivers from WD so it is the next step.
I’m using WD 10.37i build 10 and have Windows XP and onewire drivers version 4.01.
Is it also necessary to put this other files into WD folder ?
ds2490winusb_x86.cat
ds2490winusb_x86.inf
WdfCoInstaller01005.dll
WinUSBCoInstaller.dll

let me know…

no
try as per my post above

Hi
Ref this message

You do not need to copy the driver files to the WD folder (At least with Vista).
One thing to remember, is if you re-install or update WD using the exe file, you will need to delete the WD files again.
