Hey Brian
So I got my Davis WLL device.
I configured it to read my Davis VP2
I gave it a static IP. Then within WD I put in that IP and checked enable.
Boom data !!!
However its constantly crashing and restarting. I get a pop up window from crondaviswll (attached).
Also before it crashes, my web page is not updating.
Thoughts
I would think it needs a routable IP address…

the address is a local IP
not normall like that
and it should be as per like the example provided in the setup
ie
http://192.168.0.15
and make sure that is a fixed IP

also you might need to unset in WD to restart if no com data etc …since you are not using the com port now
Hey …
Just getting all your messages
I’m using an apple router (time capsule) and airport utility. That is how I give it a static IP (at least i thought)
I’m given a range of 10.0.0.1 to 10.0.0.200
I will double check how its done on mac with apple tc and airport utility
Curious why it was getting data though. But every minute I was getting a popup (forgot to attach so doing that here)
btw you mentioned the new version
I’m still on the old version (pre-package)
Anything special I need to do or just install the latest version
I have confirmed with Apple that what I did was correct
I am using an apple TimeCapsule as my router. It uses a 10 series IP
Apple Screen shared with me and confirmed I had it set up correctly
So the WLL is set to 10.0.1.150

try adding http:// in front of the IP address (as per the instructions in the setup)
nothing special with installing the package update…just install it when WD not running
when you say add // assuming you mean in the WD config setup
i will give this a try

not //
http://
yes in the setup in WD then restart the cron program
Ok…
Downloaded the latest version
added http:// in front of the IP
WD seems to be staying up and web page seems to be updating
Keeping a close eye on this

simply click on that programs icon

its working
as you can see the raw data
you dont need to click on anything
When I click on the crondaviswll icon
then click get current conditions they match what WD says
Since the update, WD hasn’t crashed

you dont need to click on get current conditions
as that is done auto every 30 seconds
the wind data arrives auto via UDP data every 2.5 seconds
So far so good
Not sure if this is related (wil chef tomorrow)
But my web page - in temp detail etc all of Feb was populated (with the same data for each date in Jan)
I re-ran the dailynoaa and its back. Don’t recall seeing this before.
