The correct WeatherFlow UV will appear on the main screen once every 1 minute for 5 secs and then shows 0.0 UV for approximately 55 sec and then the correct UV will appear for 5 secs again. Any idea why?
Just looked at my weather computer running ver 100 and I’m seeing the same thing. I am running the latest cronweatherflow version (5.4) on that computer.
Update: The weather computer is using a DAvis VP2 with “Use Solar and UV from my WeatherFlow” checked. Correct station ID entered and “Use lightning count” and “use windspeed” checked. Windspeed and solar are working correctly on both computer with both versions of WD running.
cronweatherflow ver 5.4
WD Version 114

Running a VP2 and using WF for solar/UV and I am not seeing the same thing. Mention only to possibly help Brian narrow down the issue.
the first thing i would so is use the latest version and then when can move forward from there
I’m experiencing the same issue with the UV as is MikeyM. I’m running version 5.1 of cronweatherflow. The UV reading appears for a few seconds then changes to “0” for the remaining 55 secs. until the next update.
Update: I just updated to WD b114 and cronweatherflow V5.4. Still experiencing the issue of the UV reading reverting back to “0”
Perhaps the interference (going to “0”) is because I’m running 2 Tempests (7393 and 7781) on the same hub 7880.
In my case I’m only running one station on the HUB that WD is using and WD is the latest version.

I will see if I can duplicate here
is this with using udp data or just the station number?
i cant duplicate here
using 22953 as the station ID in weather flow for solar+uv in the advanced/misc setup
and used with my spare davis VP
@mikeym
email me your settings files and I will see if I can duplicate with your settings
Ok I rebooted both computers this morning and all looks good. Sorry for the false alarm and thanks for looking Brian! I guess it’s computer magic.
Cheers

ah OK…
the settings you sent me were for were you just have WD set to use the data from a weather flow station
and not to use just the solar and UV from weather flow with a davis station
Brian that’s from my desktop computer that I’m running my second copy of WD just with the WeatherFlow station only. My weather computer is running WD with the Davis VP2, but with the Solar, UV and lightning counts from the WeatherFlow Tempest. Yes both are registered hee hee. Now both systems seem to be working correctly so maybe it was a WeatherFlow problem.
Thanks for taking a look.
Cheers

Brian it’s back doing exactly the same thing on both computers, running version 110 and one running 114. The correct UV shows up for 5 secs and then shows 0.0 and 55 secs later the correct UV shows for 5 sec again.
Both computers are running Win 7 Pro. Both computers are running “cronweatherflow” ver 5.4
Let me know if I can send you any files. Thanks
Jeff (Breezy) emailed me that he’s having the same problem with the same WF Tempest station.
MikeyM
Brian more and more I’m beginning to believe it’s a WeatherFlow problem as both computers are displaying the WF UV correctly today. Thanks again.
Cheers

trying checking the raw data files
weatherflow text files
to see if the zero value ends up there?
Brian not exactly sure which file you are referencing?
Ok this looks like the file that has the UV readings in it : 72020vantagelog.txt?
MikeyM
WeatherFlow UV log.txt (133 KB)
weatherflowobs.txt file
in the WD webfiles folder
look for
“obs”:[[
and the UV is the 10 data position for the tempest
{“summary”:{“pressure_trend”:“steady”,“strike_count_1h”:0,“strike_count_3h”:0,“precip_total_1h”:0.0,“strike_last_dist”:42,“strike_last_epoch”:1596089795,“precip_accum_local_yesterday”:1.306836,“precip_analysis_type_yesterday”:0,“feels_like”:19.6,“heat_index”:19.6,“wind_chill”:19.6},“serial_number”:“ST-00006969”,“hub_sn”:“HB-00016670”,“type”:“obs_st”,“source”:“mqtt”,“obs”:[[1596114001,0.0,0.0,0.0,0,3,949.4,19.6,97,23061,1.69,192,0.0,0,0,0,2.6,1,0.026264,null,null,0]],“device_id”:76028,“firmware_revision”:134}
Solar showing in WD was 204 w/m2 and UV fluctuated between 1.8 and 0.0
Tempest station 22953 was showing 204 w/m2 and 1.8 UV
MikeyM
do you happen to have the original weather flow sending UDP data at the same time as the tempest?
if so then that will be the problem
as the UV data is in a different data position in the tempest compared to the original station
Brian
The original AIR/SKY is running on a different HUB so I don’t think that should be interacting with the Tempest? The original AIR/SKY is Station 23442 while the Tempest is Station 22953.
I’ll shut down the Original AIR/SKY and see what happens.
MikeyM
but its on the same wifi and so sending out UDP data packets on the same wifi
which WD picks up…i.e UDP data packets from original hub and tempest hub…but the data packets are different…and so that is the problem…I had not coded for that to happen
