Since a few days I’ve enabled the Weather-Display’s webcam video function (compliments to Brian!!).
It would be nice to see the all day video’s that you created at your location.

Just add a link to your “videolastday.wmv” to this thread !

You guys get a nice shot of the sky/clouds -
I am surrounded by steep mountains, so my cam points more at the river instead.

Well Snowman, I would give something to see a mountain right now -
as you can see, I live in the Netherlands. Like the name says; low country all around :smiley:
It might be nice though to point your webcam at the peak of the mountain ?

I suppose I could point it up top, but folks who visit my site say they like to see the level of the river - and also take a chance on seeing some wildlife by it.

Great to see that you can add custom tags to your webcam image!?

Yep, that was me… monday’s are the usually the days I try to get some mowing done around here.

The custom tags are a part of ImageSalsa (www.imagesalsa.com), and the still images are combined with MovieSalsa. You just need to get WD to produce a vws compatible data.csv file, and ImageSalsa does the rest.

I just watched this, you have a cool fireball in the AM!

I just watched yours and saw an optical effect on your video: a sundog (on the right of the sun) is speeding over the clouds. Good job (of WD) :wink:

I don’t know where it’s coming from. Most probably from the orientation of the lens in respect to the sun?
As it’s a nice effect, I’ll leave it like that.

Nothing wrong with your webcam.
Sundogs are reflections of the sun (on ice crystals) in cirrus clouds.
I’ve seen them before of course, but never on “fast forward” :smiley:
