Hi
This is very strange - here is my 1-wire settings in the Comport settings.
Best regards,
Henrik
Ps. Do you have OneWireViewer and WD running at the same time? - just a suggestion to only have WD running.

Wood Ant, when I tried 1-Wire, itseemed to be a driver issue. Have you copied the 1-Wire drivers - the dll’s to the wdisplay directory? They seem to be mich newer drivers than what weatherD loads with and this is important for WD to see the data.
Thanks TokKiwi,
I have just done that, sadly it made no difference.
Which dll,s did you copy. (so far I have only copied the dll,s)
Could send me your drivers to try them?

is it a usb or serial adaptor?
Windy has just asked the major question… I read the usb DS9490 i-button interface. What drivers did you download? Vers 4.01? Not sure what is correct for Vista… have to go to the Maxim site again to check…
if usb, then make sure you tick to use that in the use dallas as well…in the com port setup, and then have 1 as the com port number to use
Hi All
Thank for taking the time to help.
The Adaptor is USB DS9490R USB adaptor.
The drivers are 1_wire_drivers_x86_v401.
Please see pictures

I just tested here, those settings, with my wmr200 and USB 1 wire adaptor connected to a solar sensor
it works,…finds and allocates it (once I set that ROM ID to use)
and reads the solar sensor
but I had to restart WD after first setting those settings
Hi All
I wish I knew what is going wrong.
Please see latest Pictures?
Just one thought its not dark outside!!

After pressing that cherry button in Dallas-1 pic you showed, you have to shut WD down with Exit-Save and restart. Then it should show up the adaptor rom and the device rom.
sounds like its a driver problem
try re installing the WD full version
What is your Comport page setup like? Control Panel / ComPort… Windy gave you instructions for that setup.
Judging by the last set of images, you need to change the Com Port setting in the “Dallas 1-Wire / with station settings” to port 1, then go into the Dallas setup (attached) and click the Save/Reset button again and see if you get the ROM I/D showing. If not then try a WD restart.
Until you have the ROM I/D showing in the Dallas setup window then it won’t work in WD.
When you get it to show it sould something like the one I’ve attached.
In both those com port pictures, you showed Com 2 as being setup for 1-Wire.
In the 1-Wire Viewer, it should tell you what com port it should be I think.
Com port 1 is the default.
In the OneWireViewer images in post #16 it shows as set in Com Port 1.
I did try something this evening which was interesting though. Since I got my 1-Wire stuff working again it’s been set at Com Port 4 in both the “COM Port Number” & “Dallas 1-wire / with station settings” but when I restart WD I’ve had to go into “Dallas 1-Wire / with station settings” and change it from 4 to 1 and then back to 4 before WD will see the 1-Wire sensors.
After Brian’s post I tried setting the “Dallas 1-Wire / with station settings” to port 1 and the same in the “COM Port Number”, then restarted WD. On restart the 1-Wire sensors came on line straight away but I got nothing from my WS2300 until I changed the COM Port Number setting back to 4, which is where the WS2300 is plugged into, which makes sence really.
So it looks like I sorted a wee problem as part of this thread anyway.
Hello,
Thanks for your hard work and reply.
As it’s now very late here,I will try out your setting tomorrow
Many Thanks
