I have WD ver 10.31 f and was usung it with a 1-wire system. The direction indicator on the 1-wire is faulty so I decided to switch WD over to my Ultimeter 2000. I get green lights showing the data is present but can’t get any new data to display. Tried deleting some of the ini files such as wdisplay.ini and wdisplayftp.ini but still can’t get it to display data. One further note, when starting up I get the top green light. I than have to go over to the 1-wire set up screen ( shows the unit is trying to connect to the port) close the 1-wire screen down, than it shows it sees the Ulitimeter data and stars counting, but no data gets displayed. Any ideas are welcome.
The Peet sends out the data in different modes. Make sure you set up WD to the mode you are sending, such as data logging mode or complete record mode.
maybe you have the 1 wire port number the same as the com port number?
what have you selected as the weather station type in the end, in the weather station type setup?
did you select a ultimeter there?
(and then restart wd?)
do you though have ticked to use a 1 wire as well though in the com port setup?
I have Ultimeter 2000 checked as the station in long record mode. When I check the 1-wire setup screen it shows it is trying to connect with the com port even though the one wire has not been choosen. It seems something is left over from the 1-wire setup that is blocking the new Ultimeter setup.

that message will be a debugger message just to say that the com port (normal com port) is trying to connect to the weather station…
e.g it should say
Connecting com port
Com port connected OK
the 1 wire status screen is also used as a general message area
so check that the com port is still correct (main com port)?

When I now start the program I am getting com port ok with green lights and data counts, but no data gets displayed on the screen.
I’ve been trying for two weeks to get an Ultimeter 2100 to work with WD. I’ve finally made a little progress by putting the Ultimeter in COMPLETE RECORD MODE and setting WD to SHORT DATA LENGTH. I’ll let it run a couple of days now and see if I get all the data.
A question: in the contol panel the Weather Station Data Logger Setup icon will not open. Is the Ultimeter not a Data Logger instrument?

I have my Ultimeter 2000 in complete record mode and long data. As I noted before it is logging, but I can’t see any data getting displayed, just blank boxes.
skyguy, you would need to have ticked to use complete record mode
from what you are saying, it sounds like its not acutaly in complete record mode
also, no, the ultimeter does not store logged data, so thats why you cant open the data logger setup
tom, try ticking, log raw data, under setup, extra/misc
and then under view, ws2010/w2500 data info, post here what is shown there

It just keeps retrying with no data. I can plug the Ultimeter into another much older computer with an older ver of Wd and it works with that box using complete record mode, long data.
I have Ultimeter 2100, I have long data length checked, but not complete record, which is needed only if you have the Weather Picture. If you do use complete record mode remember to set the Ultimeter2100 to that data output as I think the data logging mode is the default at startup and reset.

I have the complete record mode box ticked and the Ultimerter set the same. All the data seems valid. Previously I was using the Ultimeter in data logger mode with complete record unticked. Both green boxes were lit but all the data was way off and the graphs were straight line. Happy now. I don’t know why it wouldn’t work the other way. The instructions indicated that the Ultimeter was supposed to be in data logger mode, but WD couldn’t get the data that way. Just waiting for a windy day so I can see more.

I switched the weather station again, now to my weather monitor II. Everything works except the barometer, this has stayed flatlined all day. Anyone have some ideas for this.

I’ve been having a problem with my Weather Display for the past two months, and can’t seem to get it resolved from the normal support channels
I have Weather Display running with a Peet Bros Ultimeter 2000. It’s been running successfully for several years, and then about 2 months ago it stopped recording rain. I can see the rainfall on the Ultimeter 2000, but it fails to display or log on Weather Display.
The strange thing is that every other parameter between the Ultimeter and the Weather Display is working correctly. It’s only the rain readings that fail to transfer to Weather Display. Two questions…

Once it’s fixed, and since I have been hand recording rainfall for the past two months, is there a way to correct all the data in weather display do my totals are correct?
I would appreciate any help since this has been going on for SO long, and we’re in the middle of the rainy season.
