Mebus TE923 / Honeywell TE923W / Irox USB pro

one thing
make sure that the weather capture program is not running at the same time?
also make sure you have ticked to use direct?
also try a new 10.35x download (or when did you download the latest 10.35x?)

Can you send me the file “eeprom.bin”? And where do you buy it? which brand does your unit?
I will try to let you know the firmware version.

i do know that the firmware version is in the data stream…i just have not decoded it out
i will get a version uploaded where you can view the raw data so we can see what that looks like

with this update you can view the raw data screen (i.e post a screen shot here), via the new button in the weather station type setup

Brian,

I downloaded the 10.35x version about the time we talked yesterday. And this morning I’ve installed the update with the raw data readout.

No, the WeatherCapture program is not running at the same time. But it seems for some reason like WD is reading the last dataset from the records.txt file. I’ve tried to move the records.txt file from the original location and now there’s nothing coming in into WD at all. Another thing is, when I tick off “use direct” in WD it unticks itself when I restart WD!

I bought the station here in Denmark under the brand Meteoscan Pro 923, but it is the same station as the Honeywell/Irox.

Please find attached the eeprom.bin file(renamed to eeprom.txt for uploading). It seems like the raw data is not coming in as the message is: “WRITE ERROR: The parameter is incorrect (57)”

Thanks again for all your help

RAWDATA.txt (5.06 KB)

EEPROM.txt (8 KB)

The Meteoscan Pro 923 I have bought in Denmark is with firmware version 3

I have found it in the version.bin file generated by usb.dll
The first char in the file represent firmware version.

ahhh
this is the clue:

Arrival of Logitech BT Mouse (Serial=0007613b87bc)
wd is finding and using the usb mouse instead of the weather station (althouh it does work on the kids pc with a usb mouse) i.e try running wd without the mouse ticked

Brian - you’re an absolute genius

It’s actually a bluetooth mouse and the moment I turned off the bluetooth radio - data coming in right away!!!
Another thing, will WD run on WinME?

Thanks,
Preben

Hi
good its going…i might have to add option to tweak which usb device found it uses…
yes, WD will run on ME…(but windows ME is not exactly recommended version of windows)

I know it’s a crap version, but I have an old laptop on which I plan to collect the data and it can’t run XP. I might go back to the old 98SE to get USB support.

Brian,

Again a minor problem. I had to disconnect the weather station for a moment and when I reconnected it WD is not updating anymore. I can see raw data coming in, but as said WD is not updating. I’ve attached the raw data file - will you please have a look when you get a chance?

Thanks…

RAWDATA.txt (24.2 KB)

hi
actualy, its the raw data from the right hand side part of the screen i need

does restarting wd help?

It isn’t absolute right. Some firmware version 4 but the char of the file version.bin still “3”.
It is because the WeatherCapture support the function up to version 3 only.

Brian,
I got the data back in this morning. Just got back home and the data stopped about 20 min. ago at 2737 data received. Can it be a screensaver that messing things up? Will try and disable it.
I’ve attached some of the data from the right hand side…

RAWdata.txt (30.8 KB)

Right now I’m struggeling with getting the data back in again. Have tried to restart WD - no luck!

hummm
what speed PC do you have?

That’s a 1.6GHz Centrino processor in a IBM laptop - 1Gb RAM.

hummm
i was just wondering if it was timing issue…i.e not waiting long enough for the data to arrive…
i have a 1.8ghz laptop and its working fine on that…in tests i have done…

that raw data does not look right, it should be starting at 0 and ending at 42

I was just wondering if it has something to do with regional settings? My regional settings on my laptop is US. Does it help to change the date and time settings in the weatherstation or is the raw data read by WD the same no matter what?

By the way all it says in the right hand side of the screen at the moment is “Memo4”

Brian,

A little progress

I found out that my UV sensor was not communicating with the weatherstation. I made it find it again and the data started to come in - if it’s a coincidence or not - I don’t know! I’ve attached a screenshot of the raw data - both sides
