Brian I just wanted to give you an update on how WD is going for me…For the most part it is running beautifully however today I recieved a wind a barometer spike like I’ve told you about before…I can send you files or a Screenshot if you want so just let me know…
Guys,
I think I’ve found out why WD is locking up and all of a sudden there’s no data is coming in. It happended again this afternoon and I had a look at the UV sensor right away. It appears to be when the weather station has no coms with the UV sensor, then WD stops receiving all data. Again I had the weather station find the UV sensor and as soon as it was back “online” the data started to come back into WD.
Is there a way (maybe in future WD releases) that one can choose which sensors one will “import” into WD?
Thanks Brian for all your help - I’ll keep you updated how it goes.
ah, that will be it
i put a check in place to make sure the UV reading is within expected range
so, i wonder what the value is when there is a lost signal…i will have to check to still accept that…
i will try moving my one further away
re stars74, good to hear its been going good
one thing that can help with unexpected data spikes, would be to set the data ranges to allow, in the barometer offset/rainfall setup, other offsets screen, right hand side
(and ws2010 users should do that too)
Running the same setup, I can confirm that one! After hours of reconfig, reinstall and so on - I also saw that the station didn’t get anything from the UV censor. After it got connected again everything went smooth - Just for your record:-)
Regards
Morten
BTW (and OffTopic): The state of the checkbox “Use direct, no need for Weather Capture program…” (Honeywell TE 923TE/IRox) doesn’t get persisted when restarting the app?
ok, this update does not check the UV data : http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/WeatherD.zip
and so should help alot (but will still ignore UV thats out of range)
and it should fix the non sticky direct setting too
(note, if unticking use direct and you want to use weather capture, then you will have to restart WD)
Correct me if I’m wrong. Will the above update still import the UV data and just ignore crap data from that sensor? Or does WD ignore all the UV data no matter what.
WD has been running all night and I’ve had no problems what so ever
Hi
its just that invalid uv data is not used to help sync the data
an out of range uv value is still ignored
good that it went all night
i am thinking that the UV data could be converted into wm/2 some how?
hey guys I too have noticed that when the UV sensor goes out that the station stops communicating…Brian can you go into more detail regarding the spikes please…Thanks
I’ve also this morning seen some wind spikes and all of a sudden 2.1 mm of rain with the weatherstation reading 0.0mm af rain. Also the barometer readings went nuts for a few moments.
humm
how much was the barometer varying by?
so taking out the uv check has made things worse
i will check on what a lost uv sensor reading comes through as…
By the way Brian I’m still having major wind spikes as well as the barometer spikes as well. I haven’t put in the new update however I will let you know if I have any issues with it as well…
