Yes this is the software provided with the Meteoscan Pro 923 aka Honeywell TE923W aka Mebus TE923 aka Irox Pro.
Unfortunately this software will not create the records.txt file which is necessary if you’re using WD for your data viewing or distribution
Use WeatherCapture instead - I know it’s buggy, but it will create the records.txt file and with the latest update of WD (10.35v) the issues with the rain counter are fixed…it’s working perfectly for me
Hi
just to give some info:
I now have, in my test program, all data working except wind direction and rain fall …still working on that…so lots of progress made…taken alot of my spare time!!!
so by another week should be ready to use
(WD working direct with this station type)
I was wondering where the outdoor temperature sensor is with this unit. One place I read seem to indicate it was part the the wind equipment.
its a separate temp/hum sensor (battery powered)
you can add up to 4 (i think) extra temp/hum sensors
did i mention i have the uv working too?
so if I’m reading all of this correctly brian you will have it working directly with WD instead of having to go through weather capture??? If you can pull that off I’ll never use another weather software program ever. If only weather capture wasn’t so buggy. It boggs down the computer and everything…
Hi
good news
beta version:
after many hours of work, I have it working direct with the Honeywell/Irox weather station now, without the need for the weather capture program to be runnning (exit that)
All parameters are supported (extra extra temp/hum, I need to work on that (anyone with extra temp/hum?), even gust speed.
I need to get to work the temperature below 0oC still though (i.e put the sensor in the freezer!)
The data updates every minute
Which is much faster than the weather capture program at only every 5 minutes
I have not added any ability to set parameters on the console at this stage, or to extract missing data, at this stage
A soak test here the last 6 hours has worked well
use this zip update:
http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/WeatherD.zip
i.e unzip to where you have WD installed already when WD is not running
Brian you are absolute greatness…however…I am having some problems with the rain guage and the anemometer readings…as well as the UV…my UV says 7.2 but WD says 20…The rain guage says that it is raining right now but I’m looking at the guage and outside and the sun is out and no rain is falling at all…The rate per hour says like 8 inches or something to that effect…is there something I need to do to fix this???
Also WD is fluctuating the UV display in the upper right corner as I’ve seen 61.0 up there as well as 21 and other numbers… Again the rain output is going absolute crazy right now as it is just giving me crazy numbers…
Hi
i have seen the wrong UV too, I will put a check in for that
rain is ok here though, no wrong numbers.,…
but i will put some checks in place for that too…
there is some CRC error numbers i need to try and get to work…to make sure the data sequence/alignment is OK…
well I was looking at the data log files and the alignment and numbers are completely different…I don’t know if that is normal but the numbers weren’t close to how it was before. The rain thing is really weird…In the bottom left hand section where it says the rainfall rate per hour it starts off high like 10-11 inches per hour then it drops down steadily each second literally until 0 then restarts again at something high…So I don’t know what that is…Thanks for your help…I’ll be happy to do anything you need me to do to help you get it fixed…
you are refering to the rain rate…
i have improved things…as I did myself get some false rain data
use this new zip update:
http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/WeatherD.zip
(i.e unzip to where you have WD installed (when wd is not running)
note that the UV does get plotted under view, solar/uv/et graph
(i have now fixed an error in that plotting)
hey brian…so far so good with the new update…I haven’t had any problems as of now and it’s been running around 20 minutes or so…hopefully it will last all night and I’ll get back to you tomorrow to let you know how it does…
Thanks Again,
Brandon
thats good
i have been working on the average speed not working correct…its OK now for up to 10mph, just need to wait until the wind goes over 10 mph here to know its ok above 10
same download link:
http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/WeatherD.zip
good news, average windspeed now working correct (i have tested below and above 10mph)
download from direct link
http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/WeatherD.zip
i am impressed with this station
(note its 0.69mm per tip, i was wrong in my initial postings)
drat, i got some data spikes overnight
i will try and get the CRC errror checking working, that will be the best way to avoid data misalignment
ok good I was wondering if you were eventually going to see what I saw yesterday and again today…I too am spiking right now as the rainfall is going crazy on me again and their is no rain within 200 miles of me…Wind speed as well…and UV…Ran fine till about 1 hour ago…
hi
try this updated zip:
http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/WeatherD.zip
and see how it goes
i will do another soak test overnight too
hi thx I’ll let you know how it goes tomorrow…
a new update to the same download link:
to fix the wind direction being moved along 2x as fast as it should be
been running all night with no data spikes for me
