Latest zip version from here, for me, less memmory use

can some others try it and compare the memory use?
(i found a routine that was being done 3 times in a row)

i.e unzip to where you have wd installed (exit wd first)

wow, for me it went down from 27,568K to 17,456K.
still watching

thats good!

Whoa 8O 41,236 > 27,724

Just grabbed that now, 5:20pm… doesnt seem too much different here… before 37,408 now 36,236 varies a bit obviously… I’ll keep an eye on it

10:10 MST (-0700)

Memory dropped from 33k to 30k

Memory usage from 12Mb > 5Mb
Peak memory usage no change 28Mb

I can’t give memory usage, but everything is much faster. Before when going from one menu item to another I had to wait but now things happen straight away. Good.

i notice the solar graph does not work
make sure, that in the solar setup, you have ticked, log the solar as extra temp #4
(this I now have on by default)

It feels faster here too

there is a problem with the sunset icon on the main screen i need to fix though

after a reboot this morning > it went up again to ~27,000k again, after a while and now it stay’s down by ~17,000K.
see a better performance from WD too, after the reboot> it just graps the data.
i like it

Loaded up the new “zip” version and all I get on the main screen is a “blank” aqua colored screen, except for the menu’s at the top of the page. The program is running as I can go to “Exit”, “setup”, Action", etc and they all work. I tried it twice with reboots both times. Rolled back to the original 1019a and everything is fine. STRANGE

Same thing here…went back to 10.18x

not working:
does the data reived light flash?
make sure you exited wd , and then unzipped to where you have WD installed

memory climb:
a minimise to 3am cleared alot of memory for that had crept up (see under help, about)
(or just minimise to the tray, and then check the memory use …the test versino i have running went from 37k to 3.7k after i did that (but then it climbed again, now 11.5k)

the memory drop is becuase i changed a whole swag of variables
to a different type (integer to word (which is used with c++ more))
not sure why that would speed thing sup, but thats a good side effect!

So far so good here… Atleast I can move up from Ver J without CPU running consistantly between 60-70%. Also have NexStorm connected. I’m still on the road and heading back on Sunday and hopefully it behaves itself.

Back up to 39k Appears to be working without any problems though.

There is no data displayed, just a big (full screen) blue window. Looks exactly like the normal WD main display, but the window is completely empty. It looked like all the data boxes were squished to the very top of the window in a small bar (about the size of a +1 link url border).

Yes, exit with save, then replaced the executable with the new version.

thats weird dan
can you post up a screen shot of that?

Losmon, es, I fixed that cpu isse with the custom tags a versions ago, but the person posting that problem on the forum did not post back that its ok now
