I had already deleted that zip file, so I downloaded the latest using the link in the other thread (NOAA) and here is a screen shot:

Not a big problem, I will just stick with 10.18x. Don’t normally d/l the zip version anyways…just hope it doesn’t show up in that version

Actually I have seen this problem before…way back when I first started running WD it happened. 
Installed 10.19c and got the same empty screen. Here’s what was in program error log via View – Program Error Log while the blank screen was active::

I wonder why no one else is having problems?? I have been messing with 2 things…NOAA email reports, and the VP Forecast / Metar tags…

Most of the time cpu usage is about 10%, but when the Dallas 1 wire solar is read it then shoots up to 80% to 100% and then back to 10% + or -
is that with direct web cam capture as well?
with a, say a davis VP, and no dallas 1 wire or web cam capture, cpu use is only 1 % or so…which is good …except for a spike each minute
Yep. I am not sure what the cpu was before your latest but the computer is working far better. And my computer has not crashed since either!

What is happening to me is exactly the same thing as NorCal Dan. If I sent the screen shot it would be exactly like his. I did exit before updating and rebooted several times. That was with “zip 1019a”, but I haven’t tried “c”. I’ll try later. There now way to tell if the data receive is OK, because the screen is blank except for the menu items. Like I said yesterday - STRANGE. I guess this is the stuff that drives you up the wall where it works for 99 % of the folks. By the way the OS is Win 2000 with all service packs installed.

EXIT – Save and Exit on WD
Stop – Exit on Client raw real timeftp vers 3.0
Then copy the new executable into the wdisplay directory and re-start WD
the weird thing is that all that changed in WD was the type of variable used,.,it went from integer to word…
that was alll…
now, can you check with task manager, what the memory useage is?
also, try:
install, using the latest wdisplay32.exe, to a new directory, as a test
then unzip the WeatherD.zip to that directory
then save a file called 2wd with notepad.exe in that directory (just with a few letters, like blah , in notepad.exe)
so that the file ends up being callled 2wd.txt
then start wd there in that directory, as a test

Program is running minimized in the tray. Does the 3 am minimize just minimize the window or does it do something else to reduce memory? (I don’t have it checked)
you need to have it full screen,or hiden in the system tray, and then do the minimise…

Just downloaded 10.19f…
Opened it to an light blue box with nothing else visible except the tool bar.
Then WD crashed.
I’m back on 10.18x

and do you have ticked, in the direct web cam capture setup screen, reset after restart of wd?
No, no, nope.
Not using WD for webcam operations.
can you try this test:
install wd to a new directory (using the full installer, wdisplay32.exe)
then extract the latest .zip to there
then create a file there called 2wd.txt, i.e wtih notepad.exe
then wd should start up there like brand new, no settings
as a test
