Wxsim issues - wxsimlite error 55

Hello everyone,
I’ve been having several issues with Wxsim for a while. The only program that seems to work properly is Wxsimate, while I encounter these errors with Wxsim and wxsimlite.exe:

  1. When checking the graph, it seems that something is wrong with the forecasts — at the end of the process, I get a warning about outdated forecasts.
  2. Wxsimlite, on the other hand, gives me error number 55 as soon as I click the Run button.

Please, could you give me a hand?
Regards,

Alessandro

If you’re mixing GFS and ECMWF data then check you’re using the correct/same filenames in WxSimate AND WxSim.

If I remember correctly WxSimlite needs some historical forecasts for it to run so if WxSim isn’t generating correct forecasts then I suspect you won’t be able to run WxSimlite just yet.

Thanks for reply!
Imho there is something wrong with the line in the circle…is flat!

and when it finish it shows me this alert:

I don’t know why because it seems to be set all correctly under preference menu.
What could it be?
Thanks a lot for yuour kind help,

Alessandro

I think you need to fix the problem with old GFS/ECMWF data before trying to figure out why there’s a flat line, Check that you’re using the correct filenames through all three programs, e.g.

Look at the filename “File to create” in WxSimate…

image

Check that this filename is the same as “Source file name” in Euromix. Look at the “Mixed data file to create” in Euromix…

Check that this file name is the same one that WxSim uses (Click Import | Import Data)

If any of these are wrong it would be a reason why WxSim reports that the data is old.

Many thanks Chris!
I’ve fixed it
I’ve set wxdatamixed.txt intead of wxdata.txt in Wxsimate.

But i still having this windows :frowning:

I haven’t used Wxsimlite before but it’s possible you don’t have enough historic forecasts to use it yet.

Yes, Chris, in fact, it refers to the file fdata.txt.
We’ll see later.
Thank you so much for your support!
