WMR200 Datalogger seems to run for ever

Following a reboot of my PC the datalogger starts up as normal to pull stored data from my WMR200 but it then seems to go on forever. I’ve stopped it after 20 minutes or so and WD finishes coming up.
The datalogger doesn’t seem to be pulling new (historical) data but is seeing new data when it arrives.

Any idea why it seems to be stuck in this loop?
I’ve attached my full wmr200history.txt file and wmr200d2data.txt file.

Thanks in advance!

Do you occasionally clear our the console memory as described in this FAQ:

http://discourse.weather-watch.com

N.B You’d want to download any logged data before doing that as is clears out the logger!

I no longer use a WMR200, but when I did I used to do that regularly as preventative maintenance.

That seems to have done the trick.
I’ve restarted a couple times and have successfully exited the datalogger routine each time!
Thanks!

I haven’t tried it yet, and I’m new to ALL of this (new “sorta” hobby - As in the last month {I needed a new toy}), but if I recall the Windows software version of Weather Display software has a check box in the data download screen (near the bottom left) which when checked is supposed to clear the WMR200 flash memory after all the data is downloaded.

If it works as I am guessing it is supposed to, it should clear the data from the WMR200 and all your data will be in the Weather Display file.

Now - I could be wrong about this, so if there is someone here who can confirm this it would be appreciated.

It is my understanding that only the console can control WMR200 flash memory (i.e. the console will automatically try and down load historical data when connected to a computer rather than WD or any other program being able to ask for the data).

So the check box does not do anything.

that clear the wmr200 setting is supposed to do the same as the console delete the data as posted by Skywright
but its only actioned after the data is all sent by the data logger anyway (and the data logger deletes the data from memory as its sent anyway (but sometimes there is ‘ghost’ data that is resent (i.e much older data), which is what might have happened
