Windows 7 Weather gadget?

I was thinking that it would be good to have a Win 7 gadget on my desktop that used my clientraw file, accessed via my LAN, to show the current weather.

I’ve done a search of the forums and found several threads for Yahoo or Google gadgets/widgets but all of them need some additional software, and they all seem to work by accessing your remote website.

Is there one that I can simply install in Win 7, where I can set my server as the access point for the clientraw file…?

thanks,

Daryll.

Well there is the Client program on the download page from WD http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/clientviewer.zip that works great. I use it on all my puters and its a local thing also.

Just what I was looking for… a little big maybe, but I’ll search the forums to see if I can customise it…

Many thanks…!!

Daryll.

I’ve also thought it’d be good to have a little desktop gadget. Perhaps just showing Temp/Heat index, Barometer Trend and Wind Gust/Chill.

Perhaps we could get our heads together to get a “best of” wish list and maybe, if there are enough people wanting, someone will start a new project.

I would start by saying it needs to be small, with all the information you want at a glance. A quick “What’s it doing now?” sort of thing.

Hi

Check out this topic:

Its for Vista - but it works for Windows 7 too.

Best regards,

Old topic but I’m looking for this gadget and Microsoft no longer hosts the gadget site. Anyone
know where I can locate the gadget?

TIA.

Is this what you are looking for?
