Hi Brian,
Many thanks for adding the feature of allowing the METAR to produce the wind direction and speed recently. The speed is being picked up OK but the direction will not hold on to the METAR value for more than a few seconds before defaulting to SSW or 204 degs. Is there a way round this please? it’s strange that the speed is working but not the direction. My system is not stationless but I’d like the METAR to override the station on wind only.
You can see from my website what the problem is if you look at the wind direction dial and compare it with the direction in the latest METAR further down the page. thanks in anticipation, Chris MacDougall, Fleet, UK
so you actualy do otherwise have a weather station in use that is repopting wind directiuon…and its that value being used…
what weather station type?
(if people could add that to their profile I would not have to ask that question ) 
Sorry Brian it’s a LaCrosse WS2310 but the wind side of the station isn’t working properly and so I want the METAR to override the station’s output.
It’s picking up the speed from the METAR OK but not the direction. Cheers

Good job done with the wind speed/direction from METAR in 1018a, working perfectly now, the only thing is the main graph has stopped plotting the wind data. Can this be brought back to life as I think this works the wind distribution screen and averages section. Cheers

METAR wind direction. One more bit of fine tuning if it’s possible and we’re there. There is a small difference between the dial direction and the graph direction but only 20-30 degs. Please visit
