Before completely uninstalling WD you may want to try making a second virgin install as noted here:
However to uninstall WD…
1: Shut down WD, checking with Windows task manager that it is really shut down and ftpupd.exe is also stopped.
2: Use the Install/Uninstall programs from Control panel in Windows to remove WD
3: Locate WDisplay.ini in C:\winnet or C:\windows (depending on your version of Windows) and delete that.
4: Run regedit.exe, and search for wdisplayftp.ini and then delete that whole key (highlight it) from the registry
(As a personal observation when uninstalling a program such as WD I would reboot after before trying to install again)
But generally Brian recommends the first option, a completely virgin install in a second directory using the 2wd.txt trick…
