What station ??

Hi ,
My LaCrosse 2300 is slowly failing, the screen display is fading and now after I cleaned it the aneometer has stopped working !

What is the best budget WS that I can get in the UK, so I can continue using WD software ?

I like all the stuff that WD does and dont want to change ! (Aneometer is now obsolete so I have been told)
:?

maybe the Ecowitt GW1000 station?

I’m in the same position, 2310/15’s are failing, and I can’t repair them anymore. (one is 19 years old, the other is 15). I’m house-bound now for the next few weeks (CoronaV) as I’m ‘high risk’ according to my Dr, so I’m going to clean up the computer /game room (gasp!) and do research on the Ecowitt GW1000 and its associated sensors.

My big issue is I don’t want to send my data to manufacturers sites and then have access them to get my own data back. Ideally I want one that’s similar to the way the 2310/15’s work, plug it into my weather computer, manage all data there, and send it off to CWOP and AWEKAS etc on a selected basis. I’m still not certain the GW1000 can do that, but I’m looking - or will be - at it. Plenty of time; I’m isolated for at least the next 30 days. … … Sigh.

WD gets its data direct from the GW1000 Bridge

I just purchased the Ambient Weather WS-2000 station (Ecowitt rebrand) for my elderly father, after his 26 yr old Texas Weather Instrument station gave up the ghost.
Point being, it works well, no issue’s. It’s been in service for 60 days.

Anyway, will the Ecowitt bridge work with the Ambient station?

yes it does from what I understand

Ah, thanks Brian.
