I have a Nexus weather station and it is connected by a USB lead to my PC. I have just installed WD and am trying to set it up to read the data from the Nexus station, but in com port settings there is no usb option, except it says for a Davis VP USB select the port windows has assigned. Also some of the data shown in WD is not correct, and other data is not there at all, so I don’t know what port if any it is using.
Thanks
USB does not have a port number
you just need to select the weather station type as irox, and tick direct mode
then it should work OK
Thanks, I didn’t think USB had a port number; if it did then it would be a new one on me!
So where do I tick direct mode in the setup after I have selected Honywell/Irox/Nexus?
Thanks
Ok I found the direct mode option, right underneath the Irox/nexus tick box!
Some of the information displayed is still wrong, like the wind chill at -139.4C, I don’t think so. Wind speed, direction and temperatures, indoor and outdoor are corrcet tho’.
Rainfall is wrong as it says there has been 2.8mm of rain today, but the Nexus station says 2.2mm.
Thanks
Right below the button where you select your station should be a tick box for direct (the text is in blue).
WD keeps its rain totals separate from the station
you can set the totals the same, for starting, under control panel, barometer offset and rainfall setup
has the windchill corrected itself now?
