Many times, after shutting WD down, I find that this program is still running

I assume it is related to WD, but not sure what it is or why it does not get stopped when WD shuts down.

Description:
wdfmgr.exe is part of Microsoft Windows Media Player 10 and above. This process decreases compatibility problems whilst the product is in use. This program is a non-essential process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems.
Funny. Didn’t think of looking that up…
Strange thing is, I don’t ever use Media player on that box. There is no screen, speakers or a keyboard on the box.

Just go to Start Menu-…Run type services.msc look for Windows User Mode Driver Framework…right click on it…select properties…Change Startup Type to disabled…Media Player will still run…Another of Ms’s services they 'think" we need to have running all the time…
