My personal experience with dlink products and support is not great, I doubt I would buy anything from them when there are plenty of other options. Several of us on here have a Panasonic, there’s a thread here, or for a higher end unit be sure to look at the Axis cams.
The Panasonic is looking great, but it’s only wired - I need a wireless solution :?
Sorry, I missed the wlan at the end  Might I suggest you change the thread title?
Linksys WVC54GCA works well for me. About 80€
I just added a Logitech 9000 pro to my Mac, works great, with Evocam sofware
Hi
It looks great, but I prefer a wireless solution with integrated webserver…
Strange that Logitech is not making something wireless?
Hi / hej Plex_dk
I use a Linksys Wireless IP (WVC54GC) cam with inbuild webserver.
See example here: www.silkeborg-vejret.dk/vejrdata/jpgwebcam.jpg
I use VisionGS as webcam capture program and WD customscreen as overlay.
Best regards,
Henrik
Not bad - I think picture quality is good 8)
But I think I’ll try the Y-cam, because it’s Mac and Iphone friendly
Henrik, are you using the BE or PE version of VisionGS. I have a Linksys Wireless IP (WVC54G) sitting in the box stored in the closet at the moment. I have been looking for a software that will work with WD for quite a while now. This thread just joggled my memory about installing the LinkSys cam to my current system. Was it easy to interface the output of the software to WD? If so, how did you do it?
Thank you for any suggestions.

Hi Stan
I use VisionGS BE v2.0.0.42
Yes its very easy to get VisionGS working together with WD. I have setup VisionGS to save webcamimage (www.silkeborg-vejret.dk/vejrdata/jpgwebcam.jpg) every 25. second in the webfiles folder of WD. Then WD use the image in the WD webcam setup.
Its also easy to setup different overlays in VisionGS - for example timestamp, date, text etc. I use a cusomscreen from WD as overlay (www.silkeborg-vejret.dk/vejrdata/customscreen.gif)
Let me know if you need any help-
Best regards,
Henrik
Henrik,
Thank you for your fast reply. I will look into VisionGS BE and hope that I will be able to use my stored cam for better use. I have been using the Logitech Pro 5000 for a few years now. Might be time for it to be retired and replace it with the Linksys Wireless IP (WVC54G). I will let you know if I will need future assistance in the setup.
Thank you again for your input.
