Webpage "status" Not all updating [Resolved]

you do not normally set the clientraw to be created or uploaded there
instead that is set :
in the control panel,webfiles/web page setup, clientraw setup…make sure the switch is on there

in any case if you are going to use any 1 minute setting in the customise itnernet and file creation setup then make sure to have use 1 minute setting set in the first screen in that setp

That might have been it…

In the web files/web page setup in the custom web page setup tab, I did not have the switch on

Nope turning that switch on didn’t help ):

not that tab
the real time ftp tab

switch is on there as well

what are the exact files the web page status script is checking on?

I’m still at work and here my company blocks my web site (found out based on the hosting site) so I can’t send you a screen shot

But…

Will show you which ones are RED

Nothing super urgent as my page is work. I guess when I saw RED i assumed something bad. But the site seems to be working and updating

http://discourse.weather-watch.com/p/534157

Weather-Display realtime Current 0:00:07 Mon, 02-Dec-2019 2:32pm EST ==> from clientraw
Weather-Display FTP NOT Current 20:03:08 > 0:05:15 Sun, 01-Dec-2019 6:29pm EST ==> testtags.php file time
Weather-Display weather data NOT Current 20:04:04 > 0:05:15 Sun, 01-Dec-2019 6:29pm EST ==> testtags.php data time
Weather-Display NOAA report Current 14:21:39 Mon, 02-Dec-2019 12:11am EST
Weather-Display Month report Current 14:21:43 Mon, 02-Dec-2019 12:11am EST

So the realtime = clientrawe is always current
The testtags.php stops arriving at the website after some time

And as explained before, Saratoga (and other templates) need both realtime data and history data to display correct pages.
F.I., if you have no testtags, there is no increase in rain during the month. So the first day or two it makes nearly no difference.
But after a few days the figures on the start-page become “strange”

Wim

the weather data will be current because the real time data is provided by the clientraw
but any custom tag data comes from the testtags.txt → testtags.php
so you just need to make that WD is set to process those custom tags into testtags.php and upload that file (say every hour )
you can set that via the special file conversion, file #29, tab 2, in the customise internet and file creation setup

I set that to hourly

@ Wim

thanks, great info.

This was working fine until I had to zap WD and start over from scratch to troubleshoot something else.

I made screen shots of all my settings. I thought I put them back in correctly. I’m sure I am missing something simple, but cannot figure out what i’m missing

Looking for some help and guidance as to what config setting or what screen within WD I should be looking at.

Btw how do I know if i’m using testtags vs. clientraw? This web page was set up for me hence why i’m not sure about this. Assuming since i’m using the saratoga scripts that I do need testtags.

btw in internet file creations, what invterval should clientraw be uploading. Currently it doesn’t appear to be set at all - blank

as I posted above, do not worry about that
that is not normally used
instead you use the real time ftp setup to upload the clientraw.txt file, which you already have in use

Btw how do I know if i'm using testtags vs. clientraw?
you are using and needing both

I genuinely appreciate everyones help

But how can I get this to work as it should?

Any idea of what setting I missed when I rebuilt WD?

Thanks

do you have the testags.txt being converted to testtags.php
ie file #29 (special file conversion ) in the customise internet and file creation setup and have that to upload as well?
(which I posted above about)

Yes and I changed that to hourly (which I believe you suggested to do)

File #29 shows green dot for file create and upload. BUT on my hosting site testtags hasn’t been created recently (dec 1 which I believe occurred when I manually pressed upload now within file 29 setup

is the testtags.php up to date in WD web files folder

http://deputydawgwx.com/testtags.php?sce=view

Doesn’t seem to be updating…

from web files folder

testtags.php is updating (set to hourly… currently 830pm so it last updated 8pm)

so that is the first thing you look at
if the actual file on your mac is updating OK
i.e open that file in a text editor and check on things like current time and date to make sure
