Hi, since updating to b80 I have been having problems with allday & videolastday videos, WD makes the movies witch are about 3.5 Mb & start 1 hour before sun rise stop 1hour after sun set & puts them in WD alldayvideo folder, if I let then let stay there sometimes for 2/3 days before I move them to another folder some were else when I check then they start about sun rise & finish about sun set & are only about 600/700/Kb, if I move then before the end of the day they are created they are OK, also I ticked the the box to create the files at nightime to but the webcamage jpeg stop saving in webfiles at sun set, then start saving from midnight onwards until sunset. Between sunset & midnight the webcamage jpeg updates OK & so does WUwebcam, the videos are all OK on my website & WU, I have not changed anything since updating, see screen shot of settings, using 10.37 b80 & movie maker version 3.8.00 7 windows XP.
What happens is that it stops saving the individual time stamped file at sunset the starts back up again at midnight. From midnight to sunset it is fine.
For me it started somewhere between build 60 and 69.
Not a major issue but it is still a bit strange.
Build 60 for me works fine - saves all files for the 24 hour period.
Hi, the allday & lastday videos are made by WD & sent to my website & WU all OK, WD also saves them to the allday video folder in WD, if I check them both the videos start 1 hour before sun rise & finish 1 hour after sun set & the file size is about 3.5Mb, if I l leave the videos in the WD allday video folder for more than 1 day they decreases in size to about 600/700Kb & when played back they start at sun rise & finish at sun set, this means that sometime between when they are made & the next day they get altered, IE. they lose the hour before sun rise & the hour after sun set & about 2.5Mb in file size. If I move them out of the WD allday folder to another folder on the computer IE. my pictures shortly after they are made they remain OK, also the time stamped jpgwebcam in the webfiles stops up dating/saving at sun set, but starts saving/up dating the jpgwebcam at midnight, ( I have ticked the box to create jpgwebcam at at night ) before I updated to b80 I could leave videos in the WD allday folder & remove them once a week with no decrease in size ETC. also since updating to B80 the jpgwebcam used to save a time stamped jpgwebcam picture every min. now like I said they stop at sun set & start saving again at midnight
I am struggling to know what you are trying to say Teal, for the first part of your post (anyone else know what its about?)
all I can understand is the last part, that for you (and cheffy) the time stamped files stop being created between sunset and midnight
I have tried to duplicate that here, but cannnot (I set it all up and set to produce the files at night time too)
and it works, the time stamped files created through sunset and after (I changed the time on the PC to different times )
so it must be something else in the settings
I would need to have your settings to try and duplicate here
Hi Windy, every thing was OK before up date to B80. yes you are right about the time stamped files they stop at sun set & then start again at midnight.
Problem 2
WD starts making my allday movies 1 hour before sun rise & saves them in the WD alldayvideo folder as the day goes on, the file size increases to about 3.5Mb, then at sun set WD/movie maker stops making the video & saves it in the WD allday folder whitch is what I want no problem there. The problem is that some time between when the videos are finished being made & when the next video starts being made the next day the previous day videos in the allday folder lose the 1 hour before sun rise & 1hour after sun set. The only way to stop losing the hour before & after sun rise/sun set from the video footage is to move the video to another folder elsewhere on the computer as soon as it has been made( IE. my pictures ) from the allday folder before the next day videos starts to made, hope this is clearer.

I have duplicate the problem, from your settings
you had not mentioned that you were using the every 30 second file creation option
I have fixed the problem,in build 83 if using that setting, for the time stamped files not being created after sunset
(note that going to the web cam setup and clicking on OK would get them working again, or if you had set to show images at night time, under view, web cam images from during the day, it would have been OK too)
as for problem 2, I * think * you might be refering to the alldaymovie date stamped file created at the end of the day…
Hi Windy, I will try B 83, I tried ticking & un ticking the box for show images at night time, & clicked on the OK button loads of times & even tried restarting WD & rebooting the computer but it did not help, any way I will try B 83.
Hi windy, updated to B83 & altered settings in show images at night time, under view, web cam images from during the day, it is now saving images at night, I have never been on that before.
it should still have worked OK without having to set that setting, with the fix in build 83
(see my post above noting that though if that setting was set then it would have been OK in earlier versions)
