Web Site Settings

I’ve been quite confused in trying to go further with my web site and trying to enhance it.
I can’t catch on to the lingo when it comes to file paths, etc. I have a web site created a year ago. Most of my confusion comes when I get into the Web Site Configuration settings in WD. There lots of boxes to be ticked or unticked. Lots of tabs which I have no clue how to explore and what switches to keep on or turn off. All I know right now is that my Main Internet switch is On (in my Connections tab). I’m not sure if I should create files locally. My switch is Off in the TCP/IP Client/Server tab.

Then there’s the Web Files/Web Page Setup. I have “Index” in my Weather Station File Name (told to put that there last year). When I tick boxes in the Graph Files Setup Web Files Setup #1), nothing seems to change on my web site. Then there’s the Real Time Tab. Don’t dare go there yet.

The Advanced Internet Settings has me stumped. The Override Switch is Off and the Main Switch is On. I’ve “Set” some of those File #s but what exactly do they affect on my web site. What are the boxes for 1 minute?

I know I’ve got lots of questions. I wish there was a detailed page that explained each setting.
