The WeatherLink Live app on my phone isn’t showing outdoor temperature or humidity from the ISS. All other readings seem to be displaying reasonable values and are updating in real-time.
My first thought was that my ISS battery needs replacing. However, if I look at the station data being downloaded into CumulusMX the ISS data is updating with reasonable looking data. The temp/humidity are pretty much the same as other local WLL stations (including the closest one which is about half a mile away).
So the WLL box is updating WLL for non-ISS data and providing valid real-time data to the local software, but not updating WLL with ISS data?
I have to go out now so I don’t have time to investigate further, but wondered if anyone else had seen anything similar?
My ISS data is showing in the app again. I did have a quick look at the online data on weatherlink.com and that didn’t show any gaps in my uploaded data this morning so I assume it was just a weird glitch in the app.
I spoke too soon. ISS data has gone missing again in the app but still seems to be updating ok elsewhere.
I just checked my WLL in the app and all the data is present.
Does your app switch to “LIVE” running on the local network? In this mode it gets the wind and rain data directly from the WLL rather than weatherlink.com.
The data is back here again.
It’s not a local network thing. When I first saw the problem I was at home on my local LAN. Then it started working again when I was 3 miles away on a mobile connection. Then it stopped again when I was half a mile away on a mobile connection. Now I’m back on the LAN again it’s working.
The local wired connection between the CMX PC and the WLL box seems to be always getting updated data.
