Hi there, running a Fine Offset WH1081Pc, using Weather Display V 1037 - B 148, & having a problem running Weather Underground on Desktop. Updates fine so that my Android phone picks up the updates. but not on my Desktop. The only time I can get the desktop to update, is turning WD off, then on again, & testing a data send. WU ID is IROLLE49. Has anyone got any ideas?
Hi, I’ve had the same issue a while ago.
The only way to resolve this is to activate the RapidFire feature in WD (Switch on the button “Real-time” on the left and set the update interval in seconds).
I hope this helps!
Thanos (nothing to do with the nasty Marvel character! )
I am having the same issue. It updates Wunderground upon startup of Weather Display, and the “test a data send” works. But the recurring (every 5 minutes) uploads are not working. Using the Rapid Fire option does seem to work.
Mine is a brand new install of the Ecowitt Wittboy station and a new install of the current Weather Display, yesterday.
I have to ask you guys - well, @burgla and @atsio anyway - if this is connected with a recent WD update? Can you go back and see if an older version of WD works properly?
I’m on build 145 and everything is working fine. . .
I notice that WU setup in WD still says enter “Password/Key”, so maybe I’m lucky I chose “key”. But if that was the problem Rapid Fire wouldn’t work either, would it?
I have tried all the combinations of “password” & “Key” to no avail. I must say that when I try a datasend under either option it says it was “successful.” It seems that the only option is to activate “Rapid Fire” which then works. I don’t want to have to send date every 60 seconds (longest option), it ties up the internet bandwidth too often. I had set the data to be sent every 15 minutes, but can no longer use this option.
Apparently, something has changed at Wonderground and WD needs to be tweaked to accommodate the change. How do we get word to the program administrator since apparently he does not follow the forum?
There is a file named “cronwdwu.exe” in your C:\wdisplay directory dated 02/01/2023 that has a problem with the “upload every xx minute” function. Previous versions of this file, and the 05/02/2023 and later versions of this file correct the problem. The 05/02/2023 version of the file is available in the “2nd May 2023 10.37S Build 148: Update, fix for wunderground send via cronwdwu.exe”.
