Have finally got the console and computer talking and, using HeavyWeather, everything seems to be ok. I downloaded a trial version of Weather Display which seems to be very good and has excellent graphics compared to Heavy Weather. Trouble is, although Weather Dispaly is receiving what it says is good quality data, the given readings don’t match those showing on the console. I have checked that the correct weather station is selected in control panel but it is still incorrect. Any ideas or suggestions would be gratefully received.
have you selected the heavy weather data file in the weather station type setup?
(e.g history.dat), and is heavy weather running?
the other way is to select to use the fetch method, and then exit heavy weather
The WS 3600 seems very good, its taken me a while to get it all set up and running, I have had to keep raising the wind vane higher above the ridge of the roof to stabilise the wind speed & direction readings but everything else seems pretty accurate. My main problems have been with getting it to communicate with the computer. It now works fine with heavy weather but major problems seem to keep cropping uo with weather dispaly which I prefer.
HI ken
re wd, have you tried, exit heavy weather
then in wd tick to use the fetch method
then set the com port number corret
then exit wd
then make sure the file open3600.conf refers to the correct com port number
then restart wd
and then every minute the program fetch3600.exe should be running (you will see it in the task manager) and outputting data to the file out3600.txt
is there data in that file?
make sure the time and date on the console matches the pc too
