Weather Display displaying wildly wrong outside temperature

I have a Davis Advantage Pro2 and I am using WD v10.37S151 and my outdoor temp in WD is wildly wrong yet on the console it is spot on correct. I have uninstalled WD, deleted the folder, rebooted and installed a fresh copy and still shows 55.5 and actual temp outdoors is 96.4 degrees. I have 4 other weather station brands and they show correct, any ideas?

I had this issue last week. closing out the web page brought it back to normal. Only happened a couple of times.

What web page? Are we allowed to see?

Not sure that @dpetty1212 even has a web page, he just says VP2 temp is wildly wrong in WD.

Welcome! So you are running 5 separate instances of WD?

Or all your weather station brands show correct on their consoles and it’s only the VP2 that shows wrong on WD?

No I do not have a Webpage, this is strictly happening on WD, the Davis console shows the correct Temp.

I have 4 other Weather Stations connected to 3 computers (1 computer has WD on two separate drives), the Davis is on its own computer. Ok so I disconnected the Davis and connected an Ambient and a Oregan and both displayed the Temperature correctly. Reconnected the Davis is doesn’t display correctly. My main question now I want to debug this but for the life of me I cannot find it on v 10.37S151 as in older versions I found it and I could be going blind too…Can someone point me to where debug is at?

Ok I removed WD and found a dated version (10.37S131) I had and now it removes the weird temp with nothing and I have debug going but have not had time to troubleshoot. Before with the latest version it showed 55.4 and would never change.

WD baro is way too low. . . are you getting any data from the VP2 at all?

Do you have a barometer correction for altitude in the console or in WD? Data outside what WD expects will cause all sorts of problems.

(Regret I know nowt about Davis kit. . . :slightly_frowning_face: )

I suggest double checking your station setup in WD.

Funny you should mention that!
I have never had WD completely match the readings on my Davis VP2 console.

There are a lot of variables that cause this .
One of them is which format is driving WD .
Weatherlink cloud or Weatherlink Live ?

My particular issue is with the Barometer readings. (temperature and wind tend to keep up with nearly "real-time " refresh rate)
Even by calibrating WD match the VP 2 console, WD tends to “drift” either higher or lower than the the VP 2 console over the course of a day or two.

Am I missing something ?

Looking at NorCal_Dan’s settings, do you have “Force barometer update every minute (default)” checked?

Though why you should have to check the box if it’s the default is beyond me. . .

(Only guessing: as I said, I know nowt about Davis kit.)

Yes, that option is checked.

UPDATE, I blew away the desktop image and cloned a new image and lo and behold the correct temperature shows. Wondering if a Microsoft update was the cause so I disabled updates and we shall see.

That setting is only required on VERY old firmware versions. They used to only update the pressure every 10 minutes (iirc). Anything reasonably modern (last 12+ years or so?) already updates the baro every minute.
