Under setup and send data to WDliveapp then enter URL to your clientraw.txt file to use when you are away from home - would this be the same as shown in FTP/internet setup, tab connections, under FTP Host/Server and Remote Directory??
If not where do I find this URL?
Thanks
Nick
Nick,
I found this clientraw file on your site:
http://weatherinyate.x10host.com/weather/clientraw.txt
However it appears to be outdated 16/7/2015
You would want to check your settings under Control panel - Web Files/Web Page - Real Time Client FTP and make sure you are uploading the file routinely.
Also note you may want to add an index file to your http://weatherinyate.x10host.com/weather/ directory…

Thanks for that Bob. I had it working a while back but changed my PC and can’t seem to get it going again.
How do I add the index?
I started the real time FTP, that was set to off?
Still not sure what URL to put in?
Nick
the URL
as for an index page. Save this code as index.htm or index.html and FTP to your weather directory.
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=http://weatherinyate.x10host.com/weather/yate-weather.htm">
<title>Redirecting to main weather page</title>
</head>
<body>
</body>
</html>

Thanks Martyn, again!
Do I create a new folder at the top/home directory and put that code in it?
Same directory that yate-weather.htm is in
because at the moment as Bob says http://weatherinyate.x10host.com/weather/ results in a directory list of all your files.
Actually that file can also go into the home (parent of /weather/) directory as http://weatherinyate.x10host.com/ also gives a directory listing.

Humm can’t get the app to work outside of my local wifi.
Looking at the FTP log clientraw.txt is not being uploaded?? Even though I have YES in setup and entered the URL
is the clientrawrealtimeftp.exe program running and uploading the clientraw.txt file to your web site?

I have WD send tether data vers 1.8 running, is that the same thing? That says “sending, argument out of range, can’t send”
Do I have to set Real Time FTP/WDL switch to ON? When I have tried this before it upsets my free web host company and they suspend my account!
