Several weeks ago I upgraded from (i think) build 44 to build 74. That is a hell of a jump , But it was working flawlessly so I never bothered to update, until now.
Now my computer has LOCKED UP 3 times in 2 weeks. All at rather random times(or so it seems). I can tell the lockup time by the last info that appears on wdispay.
The last lockup this afternoon (after HARD reboot), resulted up the wdisplay.ini reverting to default . I had to restore one from the last archive I had. Also the alltime high alarm was blinking. it said today was an all time high at 95 degrees , But that is not right. I see records going back to December of last year as far as highs and lows go , but there is seems to be missing data. I had a record of 100 + during the summer.
I cannot even begin to point a finger at the wdisplay software for this problem. I understand it could be anything that automatically updated recently. Namely microsoft Windows. I have seen things break after an update from them several times.
I have Realtime cleintraw , along with all the standard upload wigits to keep the website updated with graphs and such.
Here are my specs:
Davis Vantage Vue with usb datalogger
wdisplay 10.37Q build 74
windows xp HOME version 2002 service pack 3 (oh crud, that is old)
Processor AMD athlon II X2 245 (duel core 2.9 ghz)
1.75 GB ram
website: GNOCC.com/weather
Just reporting… Unless you say otherwise , I may try downgrading versions to see if that helps.
Thanks,
Steve
