Wd & ws-3610

Hi,

I recently purchased a Lacrosse WS-3610 and wanted to testdrive WD with it but I can’t seem to get WD to read the data from the station. Am I missing something in setup?

Thank you,

James Corrill

Addendum:

I have read through the FAQ. (The right one I think) Still having issues though. I keep seeing the following messages:

trying to get data
getting data part 2
Retrying 0
trying to get data
getting data part 2
Retrying 0
trying to get data
getting data part 2

That’s VERY unusual.

Do you have a functioning PC com port attached to the console?
Have you run through the basic setup outlined in the FAQ?

WD found mine right out of the box. Just be sure your com port is set in WD and the console is physically attached to the PC

Also please fill out your board profile so we have some specs to go on.

Will do on the profile. Yes, my station is cabled to my PC and using com1. Their software, Heavy Weather found it immediatly so I know I am using the right port. I have not read the FAQ yet though. I will go look for it now. Thank you for your help.

Jim

make sure heavy weather is not running at the same time?
also double check wd is set to com 1?
then try restarting WD?
also there is a wake up freq setting you can tweak in the ws2010/ws2500 setup…try changing that up or down?

Ok, I finally figured it out. I am currently using the WS-3600 setting and having it read the history file created by heavy weather. I will look into fetch3600 method to see if that is any better. I guess this is the only way to do it. Thank you all.

Jim

if you do have wd set to use the history.dat file, then you have to have heavy weather still running, to get that file updating
