Brian, just updated from ver 128 to ver 130, it will no longer run in win xp.
there has been no changes that should prevent it from running if it was before
it would be great if you could provide more detailed info too…just saying it does not run provides me with not enough information to even begin to know where to help
Brian, here is the error i got after installing the zip update.
(The procedure entry point initializecriticalsectionEx could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll)
Thanks for the help.

I would try re doing the method to get WD to work on windows XP
i.e install the full version of WD
then install the older windows xp compatble version, wdisplay32build81.exe
then extract the .zip update
Brian, sorry I do not have build 81 and I would not know where to find it.
Thanks
Richard

I can’t see it. . . I wanted a copy too a few weeks ago but it seems to have been replaced by build 120?
this may help
Thanks, but I did get a copy from another Forum member
Might help the OP, though. . .
See also FAQ here.
wdisplay32build81.exe is available to download as always
https://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/wdisplay32build81.exe
But it’s not on the download page, is it?
but it is still available to download, the url has not changed
Hello Brian, I did finally get build 120 to work. I would like to find build 127 or 128 again. I really don’t want to try build 130, as it might break it again.
Thanks

I can’t help you sorry
windows XP is very old now
I am also running WD in XP. It is in a VM running on my QNAP NAS. I am using XP because of it low requirements. WD ver 120 runs fine, but 131 gives the error. Would you please make version 128 available as it may be the last version compatible with XP.
Thanks,
Dave Macchia
Brian has already said he will not make 128 available.
TBH, if 120 runs fine in XP you should consider yourself very, very lucky and leave it at that.
i use windows 10 on a very low spec net book (but it does have 8 gig memory)
it runs great
so there is no reason to be stuck using Windows XP, which is not supported by Microsoft anymore, will now be full of security flaws because it does not support the latest security features (https etc) and so could be used for DOS attacks etc
