Let’s see if I can get some help from you, guys:
I have WD Web Cam Capture (version 7.3, now) working since the first versions, not using the “All day video” features, but with direct network streaming and ASF recording (vgxxxxxx.asf). I used to have a Logitech web cam working and once the program was started, networking and ASF file recording where automatically engaged. I use the Overlay feature, also.
Lately, I changed things to use a Pinnacle capture card and a digital camcorder. Everything seems to be ok (at least I think the setup is the same as it used to be), but when WD Web Cam Capture starts, no ASF file recording is engaged. The “Reme(m)ber” choice is ticked, the ASF settings are in default profile mode, but I’m not using the preallocated capture file, which I tried and returned no results. I always save settings after every change I make. I also have Windos Media Encoder installed.
Any clues?
