WD stalls on startup

Hi All,

Recently, when I start WD the initial display comes up but stalls on downloading the data from my weather station. The only way I can get past this is to select “Abort” and then the display fills in but the “Extreme Conditions” are from a couple of days ago.

Have 2 other weather programs (Weather Link & Virtual Weather Station) and both of them aren’t having this issue.

Any ideas? :frowning:

Try running a program called CCleaner, (it’s free) and do a registry scrub, it fixed several problems with WD on my W10 PC.

Have had CCleaner for years and use it fairly regularly. Ran it again and nothing changed. Attached a screenshot of the issue; this will stay the way you see it displayed unless I press “Abort”, but will do the same thing again when WD is re-started.

Down load the latest version, close WD check the task bar make sure FTP icon closes. Install latest version, after it finishes start WD.

Thanks for the reply; I had already tried this with no improvement. The problem seems to have resolved itself with the latest Windows update 8O; don’t know what changed or why it affected WD but there it is :D.
