WD shows wrong values for wind. Station Vaisalawxt520

Hello,

I have now replaced my old ultimter with a vaisala wxt520. Works fine with WD, so far except for the wind mesurements. Vaisala sends the data in m/s (SN=18,7M ->M=m/s). Have set m/s in the WD also. The problem is that WD shows to low values. Seems that WD sees “M” as km/h instead of m/s. It is then translated from km/h to m/s which then givs the low values. I’am using ver 10.37R b306. I installed the oldest version i could find, 10.37R b81, just to test, it worked fine on that old version.

thats odd
are you sure you have the latest update? (check the modified time/date)
also you can set WD to show debug info:
setup, advanced/misc, tick to log the raw data, then post a snippet of that here that shows under view, debug info

what do you say its not correct?

Example the last row. Gust speed from Vaisala: Sx=13.0M ->13m/s meter pr second. According to the debug, WD changes this to 6.7 kts knots. This is not right.

you are right
WD was going the wrong way with the calculation (should have times instead of divide)

me must be under too much stress, need a holiday

use a new .zip update, ready now

Hipp, hipp hurray, everything is working :smiley: Hope you get your well deseved holliday soon. I will use some of mine to play with the new Vaisala. Unlike others i’am hope for the storm, predicted on christmas eve to strike, to get the station realy tested…
