WD not working as client for an APRS weather station

I have it working by searching for the call sign entered now
use a new .zip update…

Perfect now  Just testing with a weather station far far away from me, but not so far from you (I think): ZL1KLP-2, near Papakura. 25.6

yup, that not far away, less than 1 hour drive
they are more inland, so are heating up faster today than I am

Brian, I’ve found two APRS weather stations that WD does not show. The only difference I can see is the last two data tags order (barometer & humidity), they are inverted compared with other working stations. Could this be the reason? Here you have their raw data:

Edit: I see another significant difference: in these two stations latitude field begins with a “!” char, in all other stations it begins with a “@” char.

Extracted from aprs.net:
POSITION REPORT: The first character determines the position report format except for the FIXED format which may occur anywhere up to the 24th character position in the packet. If the posit begins with @ or = then APRS is running. If only a TNC is running, then a ! or a / indicates that there is no APRS messaging capability on line. In this case, the date- time means the time that APRS was last running.

I was using @ as the data position start…will change to also check for !

Thanks Brian, I’ll wait for a new .zip update.

there now…

those stations look to have missing data?
i.e the …
?

You’re right, three dots mean no data in the field.

No news on this Brian?

Any chance to solve this glitch just to close the thread?

Brian: this feature still does not work fine with stations not reporting all data fields, or empty fields (3 dots). But what is worse, normal client operation reading a remote clientraw.txt has stopped working. :frowning:

I am currently on holiday with the family
Not sure when I will get a chance to work on this
for now do not use stations that do not have complete sensor data (this will never have worked anyway)

Ok, thanks Brian, enjoy your holidays, I’ll remember you later on.

use a new .zip update, ready now

Thank you very much, I’ll test the version on these days, will tell you.

Brian: findu.com has denied access from my IP due to frequent updates. If we want to use this feature in other places, we need to comply with the 5 minutes minimum asking time.

findu is like that
which is why I was not all that keen on this in the first place

I will change to 5 minutes (it was at 1 minute 40 seconds)

Ok. Remember we can get APRS raw data from this other server:
