I had a PC crash last night and this morning when I managed to recover it WD collected the missing data OK from Ecowitt except it fails to use my specified alternate temp/hum sensor for outdoors. Some time ago my WS80 temp/hum sensor failed so I set WD to use an alternate Ecowitt sensor which is outdoors. Works fine for live data but when collecting the archive it does not use this alternate sensor (which is recorded on Ecowitt and available from the archive) as the outdoor temp/hum sensor!
Really annoying as CumulusMX does indeed use this alternate data when collecting the archive.
Just putting this out here for others as I am going to be switching to CumulusMX after 18 years on WD because it is not worth trying to get stuff fixed any more.

Sorry to hear your having issues with WD. I agree the “missed data” routines in WD need work. Early on when I started using WD years ago I noticed that during the “missed data” import routine WD failed to apply offsets to the imported data. Sounds similar to what your issue is now with WD. Sad that Brian decided to not visit this forum any longer…I’m sure there is more to this story than we know…but it is what it is. You’ve been a good supporter of WD over the years and helped many of us troubleshoot issues with WD. I wish you the best of luck with CumulusMX.
Thats a shame Broadstairs(Stuart) as i started with Cumulusmx and then went over to WD, but i do agree that sometimes things just dont work, but i also cant be bothered to transfer all the data from WD to cumulus
I will keep all my WD data and have an archive page so folks can look back if they so wish.

WMR200 history data stopped working years ago and Brian flatly refused to do anthing about it:

The station was probably obsolescent even then, so I suppose he had a point. . .
Cumulus has a WD to cumulus convertor which looks like it does it for you
A big bonus for me is that CumulusMX runs perfectly on Linux, in fact I’ve been running it now for nearly 2 years in parallel. All I need to do is to switch my test CMX website live.

WD i like as it has nice interface on the PC, cumulusmx doesn’t, but i might look into cumulusmx at the weekend if i get a chance and see if i need to change
