WD mac hanging at noon

Hi Brian,

WD has been very stable over many months, however in the last two weeks it’s been freezing at noon every day. I’ve updated to 10.37Mac-(b274) but it still freezes. Initially I was running El Capitan but on the weekend I updated to Sierra - still freezing at noon. Would this be the FWI updates? Can I turn it off as I don’t really need it?

I’ve also seen that Mac Check Run program won’t work on Sierra - I was using that previously to restart WD if there was a problem like this … not sure if there are any alternatives that run on Sierra?

Thanks
ian

try deleting the fwi.inf and fwi2.inf and fwinew.inf data files
as I suspect its a corruption of the fire weather index data fils

Will do - If I don’t reply it means that’s fixed it 8)

Cheers!

Couldn’t find fwi2.inf ? I deleted the other two and restarted WD - all but fwi2.inf were recreated so will wait for a day or two
Thanks

that file might not exist…was just going on memory
