It all looks about right, comparing it to mine.
My WD is using over 5GB of space on the drive, as I use it for my website and to store time lapse images & video, plus a few other things I upload to the website.
The install date could be if you’ve either re-installed a fresh version of WD or if you moved the WD folder from, say, C:\Programs\WD to C:\WD.
I see that clientrawrealtimeftp.exe is running in the background. As you’re not using this then make sure it’s turned off by going to: Control Panel > Web Files/Web Page/ Real Time FTP > Real Time Client FTP > make sure the ON/OFF button in the top right of the page is set to OFF, then click OK to save. If you don’t have a website then this may be trying to connect to a server it has no details for, or can’t connect too, and this is causing issues.
I also see you have Malwarebytes running. Just as an experiment, try turning that off for a day or two in case it’s causing any conflicts and see what the stability is like with WD.
Have a look here also mate… I’ve always had Malwarebytes running with no problem…But I hear you on that … WD is still playing up… But I’ll give it a day or two to settle down.
Just to be sure what I meant - I was explaining why the install date was 2017 and not earlier, I didn’t mean for you to move WD to the Programs Files (x86) folder. It should be in a folder of it’s own on the C Drive, as you have it showing on the last screen shot.
With the FTP side, now the switch is off, are you still getting the realtime windows showing?
I’ve put WD back into C drive… Just now as you suggested… To date… Nothing really has changed… I get an awful lot “spikes” daily still…3-5 times daily sometimes… As in this morning again when I started my computer… See photo… Should I uninstall and reinstall… How could I save all my history if I do…
So many problems it appears I have… Maybe I don’t know enough on how to run a computer programme properly … But I’ve had very few problems up to now… I can do just about everything else I need to do on my computer and have not too many problems… Please give me suggestions on what I can do so I can continue running WD…I’m an old pensioner and my PWS is just about the only thing that keeps me going really… I like my little weather station… Please Budgie I need some advice.
