WD hangs at 12:08AM exactly

WinXP on laptop with 260MB RAM.

I was running WD 10.37Pb44 until I recently found it locking up at various times. I decided to move up to the latest new compiled version, 10.37Qb38, about three days ago. I did some reading afterward and found out my problem with 10.37pb44 was due to the WDXMLwarning file and NOAA urls. Oh well, after installing the new version, things seemed to run fine all day long until 12:08AM when WD would simply stop all activity. The CWOP got sent at 12:04 without problem, no webpages got sent though. Dailynoaareport, etc., are not created. There are no errors in the logs that I can find. This lockup has happened for the past three days now, all at exactly 12:08:00AM. I read that the average/extreme get updated at 12:08AM. This seems to be the cause. Is this a lack of resource/memory issue? Am I limited to using the old, non-compiler version of WD forever?

As a workaround, I just went back to 10.37Pb44 and replaced the old wdxmlwarning fle with the newest one dated 3/28/11. Hopefully this gets me back to where I was a week or so ago, a system that worked fine and ran for months without issues.
