Hi, im using WD to display current information along with Weather Forecast (Using a modified version of the Carter Lake Layout). I’ve set the Forecast settings to download for my location and from time to time it does appear on my site, but at different times of the day when i go to my site and look at the place where the forecast information should be is blank, even though there was a forecast text in that same spot a few hours ago.
What setting should i recheck to see if i have the forecast downloading like it should and displaying right?

Edit: It just now appeared again after being blank for a while, I didnt do no changes to make it appear again.
Any idea on what option i should change since it appears from time to time and then the place where the forecast goes is blank at other times?
The NWS has a long history (as far as we are concerned) of mucking with the format of Forecasts and even screwing them up completely especially on weekends…
If you note your forecast is missing again check your local forecast text file in your WDisplay directory and see what it contains… If you find you keep having problems you may want to change to using the PHP Forecast script here.

if the downloaded noaa forecast file is actualy empty in this case, then I can add in maybe a back up feature, i.e use the last one downloaded maybe?
Adding a backup feature would be handy - wdftp has created a new file by the time it gets the error message so the result is a 0 byte file.
(Though one of these days I really should try to get familiar with php and join the modern world).
I would love to have a backup feature. My forecast is blank now, usually does it for a short time every day… 
interestingly I’ve had this problem off and on for 20 months or so…sometime it will work for 2 or 3 months and then suddenly start to screw up… Cheked the (in this case ) wyz021.txt file it’s there if I do a manual create and upload sometime it works sometimes not… Then suddenly it will start to parse and upload the file again…??? I am aware that the NWS has who knows working on weekends and quite often you can see their mistakes… Here’s a copy.
