WD folder getting very large

I would like to know if there is a possibility to get the size of the WD folder down. I have installed WD on a thin client, and this is working out very nicely indeed. However, I’m somewhat limited in terms of the size. I have a 4GB flash drive in it, and WD is already taking almost 3GB with it’s data.
Is there any way I can compress this? I personally never really use the data from years ago, so I figured I could perhaps simply compress some of the older years of data.

Can anyone comment on this, if it is possible or not?

I would assume that you probably could move many of the files in your webfiles directory.

all of the xxyear files, such as any webcam files, graph files and so on…

Safest thing would be to move those to another location in the event something breaks and you need to replace them…

older data files are used for WD’s climate data calculations

but you can .zip and then deleate older logfiles

I have 8 years of data and it’s nowhere near 3 gigs, must be webcam pics or something else inflating that total.

Just as another point of reference, I have 8 years of data exactly for a total WD folder size of 2GB with the logfiles being 900MB and the datafiles slightly less than that…
