hi all

In the last couple of days WD as stopped reading data from the weather station (La Crosse 3650) after working for months. i have updated to 10.37P build 39 i was running build 38, restarted the computer and the weather station a number of times, the green lights at the bottom come on with the data quality light staying on and the other one flashing once then staying off. I have install the heavy weather software to check the link with the weather station which is also working fine updating the heavy weather software.

I havn’t update or changed the computer that it has been running fine

There doesn’t seem to be any error messages

ideas please ???

are you using the fetch3600 method?
have tried a reboot of the pc?

thanks for replying

i have tried it with and without ticked with a restart of the software between them

when it is unticked i get a error of “invalid floating point operation at time/date ( the time the software loads)”
when ticked nothing

i have tried rebooting the pc and weather station a number of times

that error is the root of the problem

download the Debug version and use that
and then post here the WeatherD.elf error file that should get produced when that error occurs (in c:\ )

the error is occuring when WD is trying to read in missed data from the WH1081 station
(make sure that WD is not set to use that station type…actually I think the problem is with the use direct setting in use…untick that…for the WH1081)

try turning off the switch under control panel, data logger setup
then restart WD

the station type is set to la crosse 3600 only

and the data logging is switched off did try switching on but made no diffrence

did you check that WH1080 direct setting (untick that)
also try the latest build 40 version

check in setup and couldnt see it ??

tried release 40 and the same results unticked the "just use the fetch3600 direct program " floating point error

ticked no error but no comms with the weather station

getting the same results with version 40 !!!

i want to try reinstalling from scratch what other files are outside the wdisplay that hold the config data as i have tried installing in a new folder but it still picks up the setting

There’s a FAQ describing how to run another fresh/independent install on the same PC.

.zip and email me your settings files
wdisplay.ini and wdisplayftp.reg (after going action, back up registry entry now)
and your history.dat file
and I will test here

Been through all the menus tonight looking for the WH1081 option finally found it unticked it and it is now working ( never been there before don

strangely,even with it ticked, it should not have caused the problem still with the latest version update
