WD CWOP not sending APRS data

Hi all,

I have been trying for a long while now (off and on) to get my data to upload to the FundU site You guys have helped me get it going when I used the CWOP ID but I am now using my HAM ID. Below is the results from the CWOPlogsend.txt file.

Here is what I get from the FindU site.

Sorry, no weather reports for KK4OHF…

Attached are screen captures from WD/CWOP setup page.

I am using rotate.aprs… on port 14580 but the default sticks with cwop.aprs…
I’ve also played with the Validation number of -1 but this doesn’t help. All test sends fail. FTP is enabled as the note states but I am not sending any other data via FTP…

So what am I doing wrong?

I haven’t used CWOP for a long time so I’m way out of date about it. My only thought is do you have the Main Internet switch turned on? That’s on another page so not quite so obvious to see. If you’re doing other uploads then you probably do have it turned on, but worth checking just in case.

Yes the main internet is on but I am not doing other uploads as you can see.

Where are you seeing a fail?

ADD: Did you recently move or get your call???

dcrooks, I’ve had the call for over 10 years. I moved about 6-7 years ago from the Charlotte area.

Need to know where you see the fail…

I have emailed the NOAA Operations Center to update my info. I had already requested my info be updated but I guess it fell between the cracks.

The fail happens at the findu site Weather Conditions At KK4OHF
None of my data has been showing for years and I didn’t have time to chase it down.

This does not appear to be a problem with WD.

We will see. At this point, I am thinking that the cwop locational data is not correct and is blocking my uploads.

When I changed from cwop to a ham id, I also gave my new location. I can only guess that the new location was not updated.

After I saw your post I set this up on one of my stations and had zero issues…

I guess that makes me one of the lucky ones. NOAA has not responded but I did expect it to take a few days to get my location straightened out.

So today I sent NOAA another email asking for their assistance. Their website has options for either a new account or updating an existing. When I select new, it responds that my call sign is already in use. When I select update it says it cannot find my call sign in their database.
It sure seems that the governments sole job is to confuse and complicate things for its citizens…

The good news is my data is now showing on CWOP/FindU once again. I finally got someone from NOAA to update my location information and email address. Only they can update an ID or email address. All my data started showing up as advertised!
