It looks like I need some help with the Cron portion.
I have Wim’s pwsWD (Latest) using WU for historical data. I had set up WD for cron jobs but nothing ever got populated so I set pwsWD back to use WU instead of the data from the WD cron jobs. I’m not sure how WD runs cron jobs - I’m using GoDaddy as a provider and have not tried to enable cron on their website.
The popups now have all expected data except for the history popup for ‘Current Sky’. I believe it’s looking for history.txt in the pwsWD12/ _my_settings directory. Wim, earlier today, ran a php file which created history.txt and fixed the issue.
He said to ask Brian how I can tell if the WD cron jobs are running. Are the results of a run in a log file?
Attached is the WD snippet for WD cron jobs. It’s apparently not running or I’ve misconfigured something.
Here’s my pwsWD site: https://www.m82a1.us/pwsWD12/index.php
Thanks
first line https://www.m82a1.us/pwsWD12/ is missing PWS_WDapi.php without that WD will send no data should be https://www.m82a1.us/pwsWD12/PWS_WDapi.php
More thanks. I’ve changed that & will see what happens!
Hi Brian
is it possible to have a every 5 minute option for the station cron job
is that needed?
what is the advantage?
I should ask Wim that question as he is the one that says the that the station cron requires running every 5 minutes now
1. Better historical values
Not all historical values are available in the downloads. We could enlarge the upload-files or switch to multiple upload-files.
But for now the high-low values are calculated by the cron-jobs. With a 10 minute cron, to much high-lows are lost.
2. Better non-weather values
Rapidly changing external values such as AirQuality, earthquakes are downloaded by the crons also.
Wim
