Suddenly WD is crashing when it tries to FTP to my website every five minutes. I can restart the program and it seems to run fine until the next upload. I was using (v10.375 build 14) and I decided to try and upgrade to (v10.375 build 18) resolve the issue. I’m still having the error on the new version. For now, I have disabled the FTP and used real-time updates just fine for a while and now it crashed again. CWOP updates and so does WUnderground with no problem.
I’m running this on a Windows 7 box now for about two years and I have a Davis Vantage Pro station.
Please help!
are you using standard ftp or secured ftp?
I doubt its related to the actual FTP
sinced it started for you with build 14 (as that version still used the original ftpupd.exe)
try as a test delete all the files in the webfiles folder (back up any custom files though like wxlocal.html or testtags.txt)
I removed all the files from the webfiles folder and restarted the software. I’m using the Carter Lake template so I kept those wxlocal files. So far it’s working. I’ll keep monitoring. What do you think was corrupt?
