V9.94e Crazy Readings on WS2300

It is a bright, sunny, dry morning with a gentle breeze and I have just installed Ver 9.94e over my 9.93 version.

The programme is now recording some very strange readings - apparently the temperatures soared to 145 degrees F, the wind has gusted to 64 mph and it has been raining heavily!

I have never had a problem with updates before - can anyone give me some advice?

Many thanks and best wishes from England.

did this occur with the data extraction at start up or the live data?
(i did make a small change with the data extraction, I was trying to auto determine the logging interval, but failed…maybe that upset things

Live data here is fine with 94e and data extraction turned off…

hmm must try that again and see how the baro history is now

Many thanks for your replies.

I have been using the programme for nearly 3 months and have installed about 6 updates during that time.

When I installed Ver 9.94e I clicked to launch the programme, and that’s when it happened.

The dials flew around, the temperature readings, barometric pressure, etc. went crazy and there was a monsoon!

Also, the weather forecast icon on the main screen disappears once the data have loaded.

I have shut down the programme and re-started it a few times, and have had other strange readings - but not as crazy as before.

My operating system is XP Pro, and I am running a UK version of WS2300.

Best wishes,

John.

i tested, and its OK with my ws2310 here
both data extract and live
ricky, i now have a separate barometer adjust for the data extract

Didn’t seem to work properly for me  depending on the pressure there was a different offset each time…

are you using the same formula for the history data that kenneth has?
(Pressure= 1002.2 + (value % 10000)/10. If pressure is greater than or equal to 1502.2 then you subtract 1000.)

I’ll try some experimenting and see if it makes sense in terms of that…

yes i am , but the history raw pressure base is different to that i have used for live data

anyone else seeing crazy readings ?
do they settle down john?
can you go back to 9.93 and see if it happens agian?
what barometer pressure do you have at the moment?

I have re-booted and launched Ver 9.94e again.

The readings didn’t do anything strange this morning, but the weather forecast icon on the main screen has disappeared.

Unfortunately I can’t go back to 9.93 to see if it happens again because I overwrote it with 9.94.

Current barometer pressure is 29.949 in.

I have uploaded some data at http//www.pcuk.co.uk/weather/ which shows some of the strange readings.

Best wishes,

John

check in the summary image and icon setup you do not have ticked show no icons, or similar
as that now works as advertised
