v2 will be multi-lingual

Next version of WDL, due out in a few weeks, will be multi-lingual. I can get it translated into French, German and Italian but if there’s anyone who can translate it into other languages that would be great.

I’ve got a document of 57 words and phrases that WDL uses so it’s not a huge task.

I can do Australian.

We would have forecasts for BBQ weather, going to the beach, what temperature to chill the wine to, and so on. I think it would be very user friendly.

Wine ? Fosters makes wine now ?

I can do it in Portuguese, ok?

Cheers

I can do it in Portuguese, ok?

reminds me of a student I once had while I was teaching at Drake. I was very tired with the pre-med students and when asked how I wanted lab reports written , I told the class write it in Portuguese, but English was preferable.

So one paper in the middle of my midnight pile, I couldn’t figure out the language. Took it to the Foreign Language dean to learn it was Portuguese. I am not going down that path again…

Well, Aardvark, then you lost a golden opportunity to learn Portuguese, didn’t you?

yes, I did. The lady was a nurse at the hospital where my dad worked and she later became a doctor. Of course she called my dad and asked him if she should write it and of course he said of course.

But all aside, the WDLive in multi-languages has to be a very big plus.

I hope she doesn’t do the same, nowadays, with medical reports…

I know a man who can do Welsh for you.

I hope she doesn't do the same, nowadays, with medical reports...

Maybe that is the reason for the funny looks from the druggist.

Hehehe…
