update no sooner than 30 seconds

I’ve had great result getting WDLive to work on my website HOWEVER,

regardless of what settings I use in the upload frequency or refresh frequency settings it only update around 30 second intervals on the WDlive page on my website.

Is this a ISP situation?

Does the little light next to the station name in the top left hand corner of WDL flash yellow occasionally then red every 30 seconds? When it flashes yellow it means it attempts to get new data. Only if it flashes red does it mean that it’s been succesful in getting new data.

If it flashes yellow a lot it’s a problem with the rate at which WD/your ISP can put the new data on the webserver.

     Yes the yellow flashes at 4/5 sec intervals steadily and the red flashes right after a visual update.   I also just noticed that there were a couple of more frequent than 30 sec updates but, not regularly and not in the last 5 minutes....

     The RealtimeFTP program, when I can keep it running, is sending data at 5 sec. intervals  FYI

Is there anything in the FTP log? Any error codes?

Only the 10057, socket not connected etc… that I get mostly while using the realtimeFTP program

It does sound like your ISP. Have you seen this thread http://www.weather-watch.com/smf/index.php?topic=4610.0 ?

   I just took a look at that thread and it sounds like my situation so,

will just deal with it and enjoy the 30 second updates for now…
