Unable to install Weather Display on Linux

I downloaded Weather Display for Linux (onto PI4 running 64 bit os). I read the readme and followed the instructions (inc. copied Deploy to /usr/lib/). I then entered sudo ./weatherdisplay and got the message
./weatherdisplay: 1: Syntax error: “)” unexpected
So basically I am stuck and unable to run it :frowning:

On the Downloads page, click on “More Linux versions links”. It will take you to another download page. Click on " Weather Display for Linux console 64 bit Raspberry pi 4 with 64 bit Operating System Version on 25 January 2023 - 21:08:39" Download button.
This is the version that runs on the Raspberry Pi, version 4. I would deleted the one you already installed completely before installing the one for the Raspberry Pi, or you could erase and re-install the OS on your drive.

To explain that a little further…WD for Linux is for systems that have Intel or AMD CPUs. The Raspberry Pi uses an ARM CPU which has a completely different instruction set so it needs it’s own version of WD.

Doh. But it was a bit hidden. Now all up and running, ta. Just need to work out how to configure everything properly (and also to access and display via private network).

Glad you got it going. I use the Raspberry Pi Connect function to display the wdpi display from my RP4B onto my other computers on my home network.
