I have been running WD for several years on a PC and would like to know if the data I already have is compatible with the MAC version of WD? I have a MAC G4 powerbook and was thinking of downloading and installing WD on this machine.

Hi, a quick search on the forum revealed these posts that you may want to read:
I want to copy all my data files from the PC version of WD to the Mac. I ftp’d the logfiles, the datfiles and the webfiles to the Mac version of WD.
I’m thinking I may need to convert the PC style carriage returns to UNIX style carriage returns so the Mac version of WD can read / write to them if necessary.
Anyone know if I need to massage the PC files for the Mac to read them?
Don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but I copied the wdisplay.ini from my pc to the MAC as WDISPLAY.INI
to the application folder. It still comes up as trail version. I even tried the Library/Application Support/wdisplay folder.
Also, I renamed the wdisplayftp.reg to wdisplayftp.ini after editing and removing all the HKEY labels it still does not show any
of the settings when I bring up WD.
Thanks…
What PC (Windows) files need to be copied over for the Mac version of WD to display just historical data (not live weather)? And where would these files go?
A couple of years ago I bought a PC just to run weather Display (I already had a Mac but at that time there was no Mac version of WD so I had no choice but to get a PC as well). Now I see there is a Mac version of WD so I’m wondering if it is possible to start using my Mac to run WD now… So, a couple of questions:
Would my PC license /registration of WD be transferred if I were to go along this route or would I have to buy a new one?
Will it be possible to transfer my 2 years worth of WD data …
Hi All,
As I mentioned in a previous post, I figured there may be some driver related issues in Snow Leoprd for those using the Keyspan drivers, and decided not to update the station’s PC until I saw what Keyspan was doing. I think some minor issues in the forum are related to the Keyspan drivers and not necessarily WD Mac. :propellerhead:
TrippLite (Keyspan’s new owner) has now updated their driver for Snow Leopard
It covers these models: USA-19HS, USA-49WG, USA-28XG & UPR-112G Keyspan Driv…
